The Council of Architecture (CoA) has announced the schedule and syllabus for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2026. This exam is the first step for students aspiring to join the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program across India.

📅 NATA 2026 Exam Dates

• Phase 1 (CAP Admissions): Conducted on Fridays & Saturdays from April 4, 2026, to June 13, 2026. Candidates can appear for up to two attempts. The best score will be considered for percentile ranking.

• Phase 2 (Vacant Seats): Scheduled for June Mid, August 7 & 8, 2026. Only one attempt is allowed, and admissions will be based on raw scores.

• Candidates may appear in either Phase 1 (max two attempts) OR Phase 2 (one attempt).

• Phase 1 scores are used for Centralized Admission Counselling (CAP).

The exam is divided into two parts:

Part A – Drawing & Composition

• Format: Offline

• Duration: 90 minutes

• Total Marks: 80

- Composition & Color (25 marks)

- Sketching & Composition in Black & White (25 marks)

- 3D Composition (30 marks)

Part B – MCQ & NCQ

• Format: Online Adaptive Test

• Duration: 90 minutes

• Total Marks: 120

- Visual Reasoning

- Logical Derivation

- General Knowledge (Architecture & Design)

- Language Interpretation

- Design Sensitivity & Thinking

- Numerical Ability
